I'm ready as I can be though I think, someone gave me a page a day calender that tells you every day how to survive the zombie apocalypse. Well I like to think I'm ready but I bet I'd just freak out, then fall down. And I don't have any guns.

I don't have enough food or drink on hand, I don't think. But...

My kid and ex are an hour away in the Cities. I'm in a small rural town. No way I'd be able to risk trying to get down there.

My apartment building I think is pretty defensable. Strong steel-framed door to my apartment, one window, and patio doors. And I'm on the second floor, so I can stand on my balcony and engage them. Don't know how I would reinforce the patio doors, though. But overall, it's pretty solid as long as the zombies can't climb 4x4s.

I have my piece-of-shit .22 rifle and about 350 rounds of ammo, so I'm all set for close-range skull-popping from my balcony. And I have my shotgun for those close encounters of the zombie kind.

Wind-up flashlight, wind-up radio, Coleman stove with fuel, kerosene lamp with fuel, some candles, some glowsticks. Enough for a few days, at least. Plenty of books to read, including "The Way Things Work" from the early '60s and would be useful to help rebuild civilization.
