I miss TNT's Monstervision & USA Up All Night.

It was perfect. I'd come home late at night, plop in front of the TV and watch those two shows. I think Up All Night was on Friday, Monstervision on Saturday. Then Up All Night vanished and soon so did Monstervision.

Why did they take off the best late-night shows? Anyone else wish they were still around? It was a must for nights when I had an awful case of insomnia.

1. I used to love "Night Flight"
Until they went completely to rock videos.

2. That was probably before my time.

I wish they'd do those late-night horror movie-thons like they did in the late 80s and 90s. TNT is all drama, though X-Files is nice and USA typically just runs Monk marathons every night, LAME.

And I tell this to my friends, but they say "Why not just go rent a movie or watch it on digital cable?" and it just isn't the same. To me, what made Monstervision and UP All Night was the fact that they A) ran rare horror films and B) the skits between shows were great. Rhonda Shear and Joe Bob Briggs are classic hosts.

4. Night Flight was terrific
It got me into such cult classics as "Reefer Madness," "I Was a Zombie For the FBI" and "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains."
