Poll question: What's worse? A Typo or the Edit stigma?

You write something and post it. Then you see a stupid spelling mistake.

So you stare at the screen and ask yourself - what's worse? The typo or the red text of shame?'

What do you do?

Personally, I go for the shame - but it often inspires me to add something as a fake "edit".

12. I often do the fake edit thing.

It can be helpful to add a short blob of text under "on edit", and at the same time correct some horrific typo.

I can't abide looking at typos, if I see any that I've made (which happens often) then I have to change them before I give myself a nervous breakdown.

13. The worst is the nearly inevitable typo in a post mocking someone's poor grammar.

When you fix those, make sure to add "Edit: Clarification" so you don't get busted.

Though using "spell check" (an invaluable perk on this board) makes it much less likely... ;)
