Do you post more or less on DU than when you first started?

of course the quality of my posts decreases with their speed; exponentially decreases since arriving in the lounge.

I rarely comment in GD, and usually don't in LBN, either - just read the news.

Now, this isn't really saying much, as I've been here since '02 and don't even have 5000 posts yet (I don't think - need to check).

Took me a while to get the hang of being chatty in print. Lots of times I'll start a reply, then axe it and never post it.

On edit: I checked, I've got 5161 posts. Things have sped up in the last few months, but I'm still a leisurely, sedate poster. :P

...but not much. I'm a spotty poster-- my posts tend to come in clumps because sometimes I spend a lot of time on DU for a few days, then little or no time for several days before coming back for another round.

Then, when I interacted a bit more, I then read how DU was changed for the worse... Wow... what a let down, since almost all that time, I was only reading GD and GDP.

Never visited the lounge until later last year... which makes me wonder - should I have just started here? It might have made it a bit better before doning my occasional boxing gloves (which I hesitate to do these days)

Now I probably post 3- 20 at the most per day.
I guess I post less now because I am a little less crazy than I was when I started.
Also a few of my friends who i talked to allot here don't hardly post anymore.

my posting has been pretty consistent. I've been here almost 5 years and have somewhere around 14,000 posts. Not the most prolific, but pretty consistent. I post a lot more on the weekends. Never had much time to post through the week.

When I joined DU, my computer wasn't plugged in to the net. I posted from libraries and stuff. I didn't get Internet at my house until 2003. After I'd been at DU for two years. Now, I post nearly every day right from my home.

To tell the truth, I've found that posting in GD is rarely a rewarding experience and I've used the Loungers so often as my online-therapy group that I feel self-conscious posting there. I still love DU but I tend to read more than post, nowadays.

I think I had less than 25 posts until recently, but I read DU voraciously. But it's gotten so wicked on some of the other forums, and I still have my DU addiction, so I come here to hide in the Lounge. I had wondered where all the nice people were, now I know. :)

Now, the political 'discussion' is strident, close-minded and way more hysterical than it used to be. I don't feel more informed at all. Quite the opposite, in fact.

I remember when you and salin and nsma were in the lounge all the time... but I posted in LBN and GD until I thought it was bad for my health to hear all the infighting during the 2004 elections.

so, now I'm back and I've been posting in the lounge to avoid the screamers in GD (P). I was posting a lot over the winter break but now I have to get back to work so I won't be posting as much, but I'll probably try to read, unless DU gets to be too much - for a variety of reasons.

I see Salin isn't posting as much either since she moved and started her new job. What happened to nsma? why was she tombstoned? Are you still bicycling a lot? Inquiring minds want to know.
