I think living the same day over and over would be fun for a limited time, not forever.

12. I always wondered how many times the relived the same day.
I counted once and I think it was over a hundred days in the movie.

28. I read somewhere
that according to either a writer or producer that he was supposed to be stuck in the same day for ten years. No wonder he knew how to do all that stuff.

**

I would have some misadventures at first, but--like in the movie--I would try to improve myself.

10. Phil did drive on the railroad track and steal the pickup truck with the groundhog.
I would be a little wilder then Phil, why not.

16. The problem with Phil was that he was in a small town.
Just think what you could do in a big city.

15. Lobster, beer and Avril Lavigne. Not in that order.
I'd drive a different piece of Italian exotica every day.

DU would get pretty boring, though.

21. I don't think one would need to sleep.
Phil doesn't seem to sleep much.

One year to do anything you wanted except kill or injure anyone for a year.

I knew someone who died from AIDs and just took off and did everything he wanted for a year until he died.

20. The original screenplay was supposed to be much darker...
He marked the days by reading a different page in a library book each day, and he eventually gets through the entire library, or so I'm told.

Yeah, Andie MacDowell wouldn't be my first choice for that movie... but I guess she's better than Sigourney Weaver.

22. I like to think I'd do the same as Phil and reach enlightenment,
and wake up to a new day and a fresh new life...but I'd probably just get stuck somewhere around gluttony and eat a lot, forever.

I with you, I would hope for enlightenment myself.

24. Nude jogging, perhaps?
At the end of a thousand days maybe I'd have started a groundhog day tradition that sweeps the nations and ends all war. The Presidents and Prime Ministers of nations in conflict would meet on groundhog day and jog together nude. Union leaders and corporate executives would jog together nude. Popes would jog nude with Ayatollahs.

From that groundhog day forward the world would be a place of peace and prosperity and liberty and justice for all.

:woohoo:

27. Well, if I were Phil Connors from that particular movie
I'd forgot all about Rita and focus on trying to develop a romantic relationship with Nancy (the woman whom Phil seduces by using information he gathered from her the day before to pretend that he was an old school friend of hers). Nancy always seemed much nicer and more attractive than Rita and I like Marita Geraghty (a highly underrated actress IMO) much more than Andie McDowell (who may perhaps classify as being overrated but then again maybe I'm being unfair)
