This will make you smile

poor baby fell and whacked her head on the corner of the fridge last saturday, gave her a big ole lump on her head and a couple of black eyes. :cry: She's healing up though, as you can tell with the lovely shades of green going on.

2. The adage that babies are more like rubber than glass applies in this situation
One time when my daughter was about your daughter's age, I went out to get the mail, carrying her in my arms. She lunged and literally threw herself out of my arms (she has ALWAYS been way too strong for her own good) and landed on her head in the driveway.

:cry:

She was fine. A little banged up, and I certainly got looks from the ladies in the grocery store, but I took her to the urgent care right away and she did not even have a concussion.

4. they are amazing
when she was 7 months old (stupid me) put her car seat on a shopping cart, I thought it was locked in but it wasn't and the seat popped right off the cart and landed upside down. Hit the same side of her head too. Scared the crap outa me. She laughed all the way to the hospital in the ambulance. :hi:

6. it started out just to get her to sleep
now, I have to take it away from her and hide it. She does manage to find it, and I usually give in. She'll break the habit eventually. Eh, in the whole scheme of things, she could have worse habits I guess. We just weaned her from the boobie about a month ago. Better she chews that binkey than chewing me! :hi:

10. My daughter never took to the binky, and she now still sucks her thumb
at night and she is 6.

Wish she had taken to the binky.

7. The bruising is somehow appropriate for both photos
Edited on Thu Jan-17-08 04:34 PM by Gormy Cuss
In the first photo because it suggests that she just lost the battle;
in the second because she just spent the evening in GD: Politics.
:D
