I was thinking about the "women keeping last names thread"...

Well, I just sort of realized something, see, I'm Junior, sharing my Dad's first, middle, and last name, and I realized that if I actually DID marry a woman and took her name, I wouldn't be Junior anymore. So after I realized this, I realized something else, that would actually be GREAT. Now, I love my Dad, and respect him, and I like my name OK, its just that damned "Jr." at the end I can't stand. So I figured that whenever I get married, I'm taking my wife's name, whether she likes it or not. I'm not pretentious enough to call myself "the Second". :P

Sorry, just had this weird thought, and I decided to share it.

2. You can choose to drop the Jr. part.
My dad "is" a Jr. and he dropped the Jr. when he was like 30. His dad was still alive at the time.

3. Heh, I'm turning thirty in like 5 days...
And its not like I'm called "Junior" or anything, but it is listed on my driver's license and birth certificate. I figured I'd go for ONE name change, and I would rather avoid confusion with my Dad. Besides, its just a brainstorm, I'd do it, if the prospective wife doesn't mind, but more or less its just speculation on my part.
