Moms are the greatest people in the whole world
I have had a bad week, topped off today with a serious accident at work in which a guy broke his leg. I was driving a piece of equipment and it hit another piece of equipment, resulting in another man's injury. I was (and am) tearing myself up over it, as I was driving the piece of equipment which caused the injury. I was cleared by the company of any wrongdoing, but I still feel bad. So in a situation like this, what does a 50 year old man who has had several relationships with women and did not live up to expectations do? I called my mom. She has had a few health problems in the past few months, and yet she listened, sympathized, and advised. I love my mom. She is the greatest woman in the whole world!
Ok, sorry to get so sappy, but it really has been a bad week. I really do feel bad for my co-worker because broken bones are bad news. Btw, my company offers Employee assistance program and I am going to take advantage of it. In case anyone cares. My mom advised me to.

1. sorry you feel this way
this week.......

your mom sounds smart!!!

and you would be remiss if you did not listen....

I know what it feels like to have/been in an accident where someone else got hurt

even if the proof is in black and white it wasn't your fault...

you think "what if"
DON"T

if you can do the assistance

and who the f#ck said you didn't live "up to expectations"

2. I agree with Lost
And think about it. If you were the one injured in an accident, would you view it as anything more than that? An accident? I know you feel guilty. I would too. But don't beat yourself up over it. And the EA program sounds like a good idea.

You're mom sounds like a keeper. She raised you, didn't she??

:)
