5. That song was censored!...

... in my middle school. Back in the '70s. Eighth grade. My friend and I manned the intercom system from the dean's office during a 15 minute "break" period," over which we ran a fledgling "radio station," playing rock 'n' roll for the youthful masses. But, being that this was an uptight prep school, we had to run stuff by the dean beforehand. So he heard that Nazareth song we wanted to play and was like, "No way, dudes!" We convinced him to let us play it, as long as we turned the P.A. off at the offending word, "bitch." So we played it, censored. Under the circumstances, I think we did all right. And I believe the kids got it.
