I don't really get anything there except for the double-fish sandwich, and the Ribwich when they're around.

10. I still remember the "CHHHOMP!!!" McRib commercial from over a decade ago!
The father can't wait until he gets in the house to taste the McRib and when he bites in, the announcer says, "CHHOMP!!" and his family is looking at him and I think they are shaking their heads.

11. I make a veggie version at home using those pork riblets things you can get at the grocery store.
Don't remember the brand name. You just heat it up in the microwave - the BBQ sauce tastes pretty much the same. Put it on a hoagie bun with chopped onions and pickles and you really can't tell the difference between it and the more fatty McD's version.

24. You mean the BBQ Riblets?
Those are good, and we have them just about the same way you describe. I suggested them to a real carnivore I know, as that person was trying to lower cholesterol and fat intake.

Well, long, whiney complaint and cold stare latter; I guess they just don’t offer the same satisfaction to a person who has been eating large amounts of fatty meat their whole life. But I feel the way you do, they work great for me.

I had one of the McRib sandwiches way back, during a falling off the wagon period, that sandwich is one of the reasons I worked with the Gardenburger stuff, I wanted that BBQ goodness.

One thing I would say, don’t heat things in plastic, take them out, put them in glass and heat them that way. A chemical in plastic, phthalate, can leach into the food/water, and cause endocrine problems.

32. Yes, Riblets. I guess it's Boca,as another poster said.
I believe it is textured soy protein and there is no reason not to take it out of the plastic to cook when it is frozen. Probably helps the flavor, too.

Too funny. They actually were pretty good though. But I think I will just stick to my crock pot bbq ribs. They are better.

I eat real food, the kind that rots after it sits in room temperature for too long.

McDonald's will treat you like a crack-addicted ex if you eat healthy most of the time.

31. Huzzah! I have a guilty fondness for the McRib
It's revolting and irresistible, like the Black Meat from Naked Lunch ("...like a tainted cheese, overpoweringly delicious and nauseating so that the eaters eat and vomit and eat again until they fall exhausted.").

I must go get a couple of those, some Guinness, and some birthday cake, and have a proper Feast of Shame...

33. Don't they "bring them back" multiple times per year?
Whatever floats your boat, and all.... But the McRib holds the distinction of being the ONLY food (and I use that term very loosely here) that upon ingestion, made me immediately and violently ill. It was something about the greasy/slimy/toxic-wasty texture of that sauce...
