At my daughter's softball practices, one of the dads talks incessantly to anyone who will listen. He has marked me as "someone who gives a shit" apparently. He somehow found out I am from Minnesota and is constantly talking to me about all kinds of stuff regarding Minnesota, the LA Lakers (??? - yes I know they used to be from Minneapolis, but still, I am NOT a Laker fan), and anything else that comes to mind.

All I wanted to do was just sit and watch my daughter practice softball. But I get this guy chewing on my ear THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME.

Yah, I know, I should just be assertive and say that I just want to watch her play... But I am venting here...

that helps - I can tell someone I'm listening to an audiobook or something like that.

On their cell phone when I am sitting by myself, and stand right next to me, and just keep right on talking like I am not there.

I don't want to hear your conversation, and I was there first, and enjoying my peace and quiet. But NOOOO, I have to listen to what so-n-so did, or some other thing.
