Why does anyone give a rat's ass if someone has them on ignore?

I don't get the obsession with this subject. If anyone has me on ignore I figure it's because I annoy them and they don't want to read my crap. No big deal.

2. I don't get the people who go to great pains

to tell you they have you in ignore. They respond to somebody else saying something like "I can't see who you're responding to!" as if they're proud of it.

He'll respond to the same person I'm responding to to say that he can't read the post above his because he has me on ignore.

No, it doesn't bother me at all. In fact, it was pretty amusing. I have to admit that I don't get that place, though. It has the dynamic of a hornets' nest that was poked with a stick a few times.

how often the topic comes up. My post wasn't meant as a direct reply to the other poster who was clearly kidding around, just that it made me think about it and wonder why so many undies get in a bundle about it.
