Stewart Kittimus Prime...
Edited on Thu May-22-08 09:52 PM by MrsGrumpy
...That's the name of the kitten.

After Jon, and then Kittimus because, well, because WannaBe is kind of a geek, and loves Transformers.

6. He would be confused...but Clyde would be cool.
We talked about Cletus for a while.

We are bad people but the whole auditorium cracked up on her graduation day when one of the students was called for his diploma and his middle name was actually Cletus. We are horrible people so it's no wonder she has ended up how she is.

8. When I was a kid I had a cat named
Trinity Jones.

She had kittens before we had her spayed, one that we kept I named Ethelbert Mugwump.

Everybody acted like I was insane for giving my cats first and last names, but I felt like one name just wasn't enough. Although I usually called them by a nickname, "Trincat" or "Bert", they always came by their longer names, too.

19. Doesn't matter what you name 'em anyway; you always call them something else.

My boy cat is name Prince Charming, only ever called Boogerhead or Boog.

My girl cat is named Effie and has literally NEVER been called that; she's only ever called Pickle.

Boog's the tiger stripe, Pickle's the tortie. :D

20. Merlin is usually Mercat (when my son was a toddler that's how
he would try to get him to come to him, by saying,"merecat" which sounded like Mercat). We sometimes also call him Merkitty or Fatty.

23. We found Pickle on the street...
We were walking home from dinner one night in Philly (this was before we got married and moved to the 'burbs) and we heard the most piteous cry you can imagine coming from a grate. I called for her and she came running to me. She was painfully, horribly emaciated. When we took her to the vet the next day, he said she was probably 1-2 days away from dying of starvation when we picked her up.

This is what she looked like about a week after we got her - so that's actually much improved. When we bathed her that night, my index finger and thumb encircled her neck and met in the back. It's enough to make me cry my eyes out thinking about it.

But! Now she's about the happiest healthiest (and pudgiest) little cat you'll ever meet. We did a good thing. :loveya:

25. She really doesn't.
When we found her, her whiskers were all broken off or missing, she had no hair left on her ears at all, and her coat actually gradually fell out over the next 6 months or so and went from rough and dull-colored to glossy and soft and bright and shiny. What really fucking burns me up is that she was litter-trained already when we found her, which means someone owned her at some point and then allowed her to get into that state. :grr:

She's quite the little madame and bosses the whole house, including her kitty brother, who's a total laid-back dude and basically gives her whatever she wants. Heh. That stupid cat, if anything happened to her, I'd have a nervous breakdown and so would my husband. We dote on both of them, we're pathetic that way. :eyes: :D
