actually the transport company's website now has been updated to some real usefulness. :hi:

1. I'd be satisfied if employers would stop listing "valid driver's license"
as a qualification, except for, say, traveling salesperson or the like.

It might as well say, "People with certain disabilities need not apply." :grr:

3. That shouldn't be in the job description at all, unless driving IS required.
As long as the person has a way to get to work on time, how they get there is nobody's business.

But perhaps they are trying to minimize issues with tardiness and absenteeism from employees who rely on public transportation for whatever reason (not that getting stuck in traffic, broken-down cards, etc.) aren't also problems). Maybe it has to do with immigration issues.

Just another hoop to jump through for all the wage slaves out there.

5. Funny thing is
My staff that take the bus are almost *never* late, but my staff that drive are always calling me "I'm stuck in traffic, I'm going to be late" or "My car broke down" etc etc.
