What's for dinner, DU?
I'm having a Vietnamese noodle bowl with tofu cubes, lemongrass, onion, garlic and chiles.

It's so good.

I'm tired tonight, and I still have a Dem Club meeting to go to...

So......we're getting some yummy pizza delivered!

4. Pizza.
I don't feel like going to the store, and since I have everything for pizza (stuff to make the dough, some jarred sauce because I feel kind of lazy, teese, fake pepperoni I'm trying because it was on sale) I think I'm going to go with that.

15. Homemade sushi; steamed vegetables
Salmon sushi, though I did bake it for 10 minutes... I could eat it raw, but going to the buffet on sushi night is more convincing a night to eat raw salmon. Out of the store packet with today's expiration date, I opted to wait. :)

My parrots ate seeds and pellets, and dried papaya treats.

16. We put some
grass-fed bison ribs on the grill yesterday for dinner and some small organic russett potatoes with olive oil and seasoning. Last night I put the left over ribs in the crockpot with homemade BBQ sauce and let them simmer all night so it fell apart. We had it over homemade whole wheat bread with the left over potatoes and a salad of mixed greens and spinach from our garden with bleu cheese dressing. :9

made a romaine salad, and brown rice... with ice tea.

It's hot out here in Pennsylvania, so grilling was the sensible answer..

20. I wanted a burrito from Chango's, but I'm lazy...
So, I took a jalapeno cheddar tortilla, stuck some black beans, rice, Mexican cheese and leftover popcorn shrimp inside. It was tasty. I'm taking the same thing for lunch tomorrow.

21. Spaghetti with homemade sauce
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, put trough a garlic press
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 can Rao's Tomatoes (These are the best-quality San Marzano tomatoes from Italy)

Heat olive oil on medium heat. Add onion and pepper, saute until onion is translucent and pepper is soft. Add garlic, saute for 30 seconds to one minute (you DO NOT want it to burn). Add tomatoes. Bring to a boil. cover with lid, slightly ajar, and reduce to simmer. Simmer for one hour, stirring occasionally.

3 minutes before serving, add a pinch each of dried oregano and basil plus 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated black pepper.

Drain pasta, toss with sauce, serve with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
