Well I hate driving through it. I took me almost five hours to go six miles.

17. Most expresses do not stop at Greenwich
and the only ones I can find that do, do not make the intermediate stops after South Norwalk.

Yes, I did grow up around there, and for a time in the mid-'90s, I lived in New Haven and Mom lived in NYC. Thus, I spent far more time on Metro-North than was really good for me.

19. Most don't except for the 7:45am.
I lived in Norwalk from 96-2001 then in Bridgeport til 2004.

The 7:45am express was for those mornings when I didn't catch the 7:08, 7:13 or 7:22 express. The 7:34 was a diesel train that took over an hour to get in to NYC!

4. I drove in it recently...
I thought it would be tough...but I watched how the cabbies do it...

They RELAX.

When you go with the flow...it is kind of cool...people let you in.

7. I do it a few times a week.
Normally it doesn't bother me. But today was just ridiculous.

14. I drove there.
I hadn't planned on getting a car, but after almost getting run over at the crosswalk a few times, I figured having a steel frame and eight airbags between me and teh stoopid was a smart move.

As big cities go, it's much easier to navigate by car than San Francisco. Or Portland. Or, FSM forbid, LA.

16. I know
I had no problems getting over the GW bridge. I managed to get about two miles north of it before I hit the backup.

18. They don't charge tolls on the way out
they hit you with double the toll, plus the backup, on the way in.

Tolls. They're not just for Delaware anymore!

20. It costs me $40
every time I go into the city. That's not including what NJ charged me for the privilege of using their road.
