OMG my oldest graduates from high school tonight!
one down and one to go. the wife is starting to stress out about tonight. She called me at work this AM and asked if I could write something nice and profound for a serious card she bought him. NOt that I have anything important to do....other than maybe work a little.

OH and visit the lounge occassionally.

1. Wow, that's a big deal. Congrats on this momentous occasion!
:toast:

I just posted a thread myself about parenting a teenager.

It's a trip watching them grow into adults, isn't it?

It's bittersweet, I'm finding. :pals:

2. very much so!
my son has learning disabilities and it has made it very difficult for him these 12 years. and it has been a bitch on occasion to get him through things. however this senior year he pretty much did everything on his own and made honors each semester. i have also been his boy scout leader and i watched him grow from this 5th grade geek who would shower with his diving goggles on to an eagle scout.

4. Congrats!
Mine graduated a week (almost two) ago.

She spends most of her time on DU now. It's great...

5. Mine too!
My DD graduates from High School tomorrow.
I will be a sobbing mess!

My son graduated last year and this will leave us as empty nesters.

Earlier I played "Pomp and Circumstance" just to get the preliminary tears out of the way...I am so proud.

Congrats to you - now back to cleaning the house for the party!

6. Congrats!
My oldest is graduating Tues. Her brother will be playing in the band (as if that song doesn't tear me up enough).
I will be there with her 4 month old son (i made him a little cap to wear!)
And i remember the days when i KNEW they would never get out of diapers!
