I post this here (mods, please humor me) because there have been several people here who have visited the area lately, and many who have commented about how beautiful it is there.
This house sits on top of a mountain, with over a 180 degree view.
It most def.needs some work.It is livable, though.
It comes with 8 acres.
I don't have a pic that I can post atm (no scanner); but I will try to find one..
We've been meaning to put it on the market, but have some paper hoops to jump through. My houses are in trust for me, so my uncle has to sign off on everything. Thus, it's just been kinda languishing.
I just wanted to post to tell everyone to keep it in mind, should you be interested. Feel free to PM me anytime about it.

I need to get a new estimate.
I'm guesstimating that I'll probably get about $200,000; give or take.

6. I would do it myself,

but the house I'm in here in Jtown needs some help also...and we really need to move to Charlotte as soon as we can. Husband is commuting at the moment, and even with a car that gets 37 to the gallon, it is expensive. (we live 2 hours away).
So I'm hoping that the money from the sale of the house will give us something to put down on one in Charlotte, and some to fix the few problems we have here at this one, so I can put this one on the market too.
The mountain house needs updated plumbing (right now you can't use it in the winter); the deck that was put on is absolute crap (my mother got ripped off!!) and some cosmetic interior work. There also is no fireplace/woodstove,and that is a MUST. The way the deck was put on, one would have to cut a hole through it to vent a woodstove. Bunch of idiots, that.
Oh, and I would replace the sheetrock on the third floor attic room. There's wood paneling on the bottom great room; I personally would replace that too, but it's in good shape. Just looks dated.
It has new roof and siding, though, and the foundation and bottom level are only fifteen years old.
It just needs a little attention... ;)
