From his website:

Who is Fredrik Strand Halland, you ask? Never heard of him? Don't worry, you will. Fredrik is probably the best musician to be born in the last 100 years. While he is fairly well known in Northern Europe, his fame is fairly recent. To begin to understand you first must realize that he has just turned 14. That's right - he is fourteen and plays like an old Grandmaster who has been playing for fifty years. He can hypnotize you with the most beautiful and soulful melodies on the one hand, and then on the other he can set your soul ablaze with fiery leads that sound like the passion of the Gods - or he can bludgeon you senseless with stunning riffs that have the power of a truck load of dynamite.

3. I don't get it
I watched some of the youtube videos of him, and it's just a kid who's pretty good at playing the guitar, and really likes SRV. I didn't hear any real musicianship shining through, just the kind of fast and flashy guitar playing that lots of teenagers do. Maybe this kid will grow up and do something interesting, but based on the bit I saw, I don't see what's so special about it.

4. Yeah, I think you're much more correct than those who call him a "prodigy".
We'll have to wait and see what he does.

It's kind of unrealistic to think of a 14 year old really playing the blues. Unless you don't think playing the blues requires having had to actually deal with some pain in your life.
