Picture thread to celebrate my new camera!
Just came via FedEx and I think I'm going to be very happy with it. It's a Canon PowerShot SD1000, just a little tiny thing but it takes very pretty pictures.

My husband's grape plant on our deck -

10. with ant

I was always told to turn peonies upside down and shake them to try to get the ants off before bringing them in the house.

Peonies still have a wonderful scent, even after they're dried. I stick them in a basket of pot pourri.

Is that your family? They're beautiful. And your cat is the spitting image of mine. :wow:

5. Thanks. That is my niece and her son, my grandnephew. The cat is
actually a neighbor's cat, but one that I am very close to and pet almost every day. Her name is Scooter and she's 14 years old. She does look a lot like yours - they're members of the Tuxedo cat clan!

If you line pictures up using the eyepiece they come out slightly off mark, slightly slanted. If you need to square off a shot, use the view screen, which is easier anyway.
