Local band in the Rock Hall
CLEVELAND--The band "Clevelend" who rock on for five days straight gets in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In 1986 the band thought they would do a promotion with a local radio station.
This was all to petition the Rock Hall committee to bring the entertainment musuem to Cleveland.
So at the Rascal House the band was set to play for half and hour and ended up playing for five straight days.
Thousands of people and other musicians came to watch and support the band known as "Clevelend" with "lend."
Michael Zaremba bass player and singer says, "not only did we do that but we also traveled all over the country and north america and we promoted the City of Cleveland. "
Two weeks ago the Rock Hall hung a plaque in the musuem to thank and honor the band "Clevelend" for their efforts.
Zaremba's brother Pete also a singer says,"the plaque isn't about me it isn't about my band essentionally but the City of Cleveland and everybody that was there is now part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."
