OK, so I am terrified
When I went to take the trash to the curb this morning, I saw a black widow spider. Because I was not fully awake, and was not wearing shoes, I just wheeled the can out to the street and did nothing about taking care of the spider.

Now I am scared to go into the garage, and I really need to run some errands today.

:yoiks:

Someone please tell me the spider is gone.

2. OK, my dear KW...I'll tell you...
Those spiders are more scared of you than you are of them!

Plus, they don't like daylight...

It's gone, sweetie...

8. I feel for you
I'd be sitting at the curb with my suitcases packed. You know, maybe it wasn't even that kind. I'm sure whatever it was ran out. Leave the garage open for a while to be sure it goes out. If you see any dangerous spiders spray hair spray or hair gel on them. It keeps them still so you can kill them. Don't stress, it's gone. :hi:

7. Here's the deal: you just have to pretend they're not there.
We've got black widows in the garage, the attic, the crawl space, the workshop... black widows surround us. We even had one living on the exposed faucet in the south-facing front yard for a while, and they're supposed to like dark spaces.

If I thought about all the black widows, I would go crazy, but instead I don't think about them, and I'm happier and healthier for it. Basically, they're like bees: better off ignored.
