Midlo- are you the hibiscus freak?
I just bought one; it's freaking gorgeous. The problem is I now feel that I need approximately 800 more in assorted colors and the already overblown gardening budget indicates that this is a no-no.

:P

2. Peachy-colored. I planted it but will have to pull it
and bring it indoors over the winter, which means I'll probably kill it. I'm an avid house plant killer.

5. That's correct
From what I've learned, there were only 12 indigenous plants to the Hawaiian islands and none of the hibiscus varieties are included in that dozen. But I could be wrong... that's just what I learned from someone at the Kilauea lighthouse on Kauai. :hi:

6. I LOVE hibiscus!!!!
I bought six plants at Lowe's earlier in the year and they're in pots in the backyard. Red, pink, peach. They are so pretty!!!!

Fell absolutely in love with them when we went to Bermuda in 2001.

I didn't plant them because I intend to bring them in when the weather gets cold, so we can enjoy them all year.

Plus, dumb and dumber (the dogs) will dig them up anyway.
