or to put it another way-able to relax and concentrate

Started a new job 10 months ago and I hate it. I absolutely hate coming to work. I hate everything about it (some of the people are okay-the ones that talk to other people at work :eyes: ). Recently it has become extremely evident that they don't cotton to me either. Whatever.

I got handed a big project out of the blue yesterday. Putting this thing together usually consists of a team of people and there is always a sptting-fire-at-each-other disagreement...or two. I didn't think we should be doing it yet and made that very clear to my boss (she really is nice-I think she is looking elsewhere too).

So I just went about doing it today. My boss was shocked when I just dropped it on her desk.

So, anyone hiring? Clearly I have a GREAT ATTTITUDE :bounce:

1. There is almost nothing more miserable than hating your job.
That dreading every single day... Sucks!

2. right o I hate being unemployed but my last job was really beginning to get to me
and not because of co workers or anything like that just the nature of the work itself and the changes in what we actually had to deal with. Not because of company policy but more because of the needs of the customers.

There are a few things I truly do not miss.

3. Ugh
I'll go for a swim or (lately injury free *crosses fingers* ) a run and get home to a cup of coffee and get Josie up and sit with her in my lap for a 1/2 hour get dressed for work take her to daycare (we have a blast in the car) and when I am just about to walk into work I feel all the energy and "high" just drain right out of me.

I technically have a cube but 2 of the walls (one is only a 1/2 wall really) face other walls so I really only have sort of panel.

This is like Joe vs. the Volcano-I hope I don't get a brain cloud.

4. Excellent attitude, indeed. I've always felt that, even if I hated a job, I'd
still try my best to do that job to the best of my abilities anyway. Maybe that's an old-fashioned attitude, but there it is.

If you're looking, PM me with some info on what it is that you do, and I'll see if I can help. No promises, but I can check around.

6. When you get up in the morning
and have to start thinking of reasons for GOING TO work, it's time to get the hell out of there.

7. Yes it is, but until you DO get out, you should do your job as well as you can.
Just my opinion. It's been 17 years since I've had a "job" (meaning working for someone else), but when I DID have jobs, that's how I operated.

8. Yes, indeed. Though a lot of Americans either don't (or don't want to) understand that.
