An online fundraiser for Lounge Lizards!

OK, Skinner gave me the go-ahead to grovel for money on DU, so long as I do it in what passes for a tasteful and reasonably discrete manner around here.

I think I'll hold a virtual fundraiser here in the Lounge in a few weeks. I'd prefer that your donations not be virtual, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

I'm not kidding, either. I am going to have a very nasty re-election fight. One of New Hampshire's most vicious right-wing activists, a demagogue named Joe Kelly Levasseur, is planning on running against me. Levasseur is a guy who once called the chair of the NH Democratic Party a "fat b***h" during a campaign speech while running for mayor. He's all class. Unfortunately, he's got quite a bit of personal money, so this is going to get ugly.

I need to establish a new campaign account, file updated committee registration papers, and plead with ActBlue to see if they will process donations for a municipal race.

Once all of these things are taken care of, we're ready to party!
