when my dog barfs she always first finds an expensive carpet to barf on.....
i have a tile floor and so i have a few nice rugs (bokaras and kilims and stuff) here and there. whenever my dog has to puke, instead of puking on the tile where i can clean it easily, she seems to seek out a rug to puke on.

does anyone else have this problem with their dog(s)?

1. all my pets do this on occasion
more like the ground, I guess

The fun one is the light wieght bathroom rug that can be pawed up over the mess to "bury" it

6. the bathroom rug i could deal with.....
....but my dog seems to prefer my $500 bokara runner. i cleaned it with the commercial products but have since rolled it up and taken it off the floor. now she uses the jute rug underneath my living room coffee table.

2. We have maybe 50 square feet of carpet, and 1250 of hardwood floor.
95% of the cat puke is on the carpet.

3. always on carpet
never fails- I got Zero odor and it takes out the stain and smell. This is the only thing I have ever ordered via TV.

4. My dog rarely barfs, but the cat barfs on the rug,
on the bed :puke:.

Cat also pees on Tabriz carpet. Cat is evil.

10. ah, sad to say the cat
is going back to the rescue from which he came this coming weekend. I have just had it at this point. I have done everything possible: vets, fancy cat litter, confinement, etc. - the cat just is not happy here because he hates the dog and needs to be someplace where he does not share his territory.

And yes - cat piss is intolerable - but I had to convince my husband of that.....

8. Madrone has the same problem with her cats.
They will pick the carpet instead of the tile every time.

9. my cats
will actually run INTO the place and scurry past a nice tile floor to get to broadloom. The orientals are such a tight weave that they are actually easier to clean than the wheat-colored broadloom. I don't get it either.

11. I thought that was a cat thing.
Cats avoid horking up their hairballs on any smooth surface, like tile, but instead head for the best, most easily-stained rug or carpet they can find in order to yack. I didn't know dogs were similarly inclined.
