Swimming... always has been. I used to swim.

Difficult times for my son.

Not right now. But I am composting!

Both! I have 2 cats and 1 dog.

Ummmm.... the Louvre

No idea. I've never done any beyond the El in Chicago. I may be interested in a fancified train with meal cars and beds and stuff.

9. Hi, Fran.
1. Don't have one. Haven't watched a microsecond of coverage.
2. I was talking to my wife at lunch today about my Dad, who is suffering from pancreatic cancer. I had a very nice conversation with him the other day. Before we hung up, my Dad was the first to say "I love you". He's never said it first before. I tried telling my wife, and just choked up...
3. No. I hate gardening. I have no talent for it whatsoever.
4. Dogs. I'm not crazy about cats. I treat my step-daughter's cat well out of familial respect; interestingly, my step-daughter's cat just LOVES me. Weird.
5. The Vatican Museum. For their collection of artifacts from Imperial Rome.
6. Love it. I commute by train from Puyallup to the University of Washington. It's great.

10. My answers
1. What was your favorite Olympic sport this time around?

My favorite Olympic sport is always the equestrian events but I haven't been able to watch much this year - we don't get very good reception here.

2. What was the last thing that made you cry?

My oldest daughter disowned me. :(

3. Do you keep a garden? What do you grow?

I don't but I wish I could - we don't have a suitable place for one. If I did, I would grow lots of tomatoes, green beans, carrots, radishes, lettuce... :9

4. Are you a cat person or a dog person...or neither? Or both?

Both. I'm an animal person.

5. What museum is at the top of the list of places you would like to go but haven't yet had the chance?

The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose.

6. Do you enjoy train travel?

Yes. I rode a train halfway across the country in the late 70's and it was such a great time. I love trains.

Good questions. :hi:

21. Yay! Random questions!
1. What was your favorite Olympic sport this time around?
None. Didn't watch em.

2. What was the last thing that made you cry?
Finding out about my brother's death last October.

3. Do you keep a garden? What do you grow?
I wish! I had one at our house in Texas that we owned, but we're renting now. I have some tomatoes and herbs on the front porch. I plan on starting a FULL garden if we can get our own place again.

4. Are you a cat person or a dog person...or neither? Or both?
Both! I've had both for most of my life, and love them both for different reasons. Right now we have a psychotic gray furball tabby with attitude, and a Great Pyrenees with a fondness for anything chicken flavored.

5. What museum is at the top of the list of places you would like to go but haven't yet had the chance?
Musee d'Orsay in Paris. Plus, I want to go back to the Louvre. I went when I was 16, but missed the significance of half the stuff. I majored in art history, so I definitely need to see everything again.

6. Do you enjoy train travel?
Yes! Haven't done that much of it, but I loved the little bit I got to do in Italy. Would really enjoy taking Amtrak rather than flying for my next big genealogy trip, but need to save some more vacation time.

1. What was your favorite Olympic sport this time around? - I've hardly watched any. If I had cable it would be soccer or boxing though.

2. What was the last thing that made you cry? - Something I watched online about the Iraq war.

3. Do you keep a garden? What do you grow? - Nope

4. Are you a cat person or a dog person...or neither? Or both? - I'm a big cat guy. Dogs are ok (depending on the breed...I love Huskies) but are a lot more work to care for. And if I can't let the dog run around outside I don't want to have one. I'd have to keep it inside almost all the time where I am. That can't be fun for the dog. :)

5. What museum is at the top of the list of places you would like to go but haven't yet had the chance? - Does the NHL Hall of Fame in Toronto count? If not then the Smithsonian, though any museum is cool stuff.

6. Do you enjoy train travel? - Love it, and would love to actually go on a long train trip. And never come back. :)

41. Mine:
1. Sport? Swimming. Predictable, but I like the "pure" sports -- who is the fastest?. Track is also a favorite.

2. Made me cry -- Probably "Animal Cops." Why I torture myself by watching that show, I'll never know.

3. Garden -- Not really. We have tons of trees, so it's hard to garden.

4. Cat or Dog -- Oh, easiest question evah. Cat Cat Cat, a thousand times Cat. Hands down. I've got three, wish I had more. And, after traveling for a week with (a relative's) two dogs, I am more of a Cat Person than ever.

5. Desired museum/s: Uffizi in Florence for me, Natural History in NY and Air&Space in D.C. for my kids.

6. Train travel -- love it.
