1. that was Anne Frank's full name
that was also the name of the girl child I never had.. but it was a mix of two family names in that case. I put in a vote for Anneke (how it's spelled in Dutch.. "ke" means little.) Here I guess it would be Annika.

3. Okay, I'll add "other"
but people, this is important! Other members of the M family are trying to hijack her name!

14. No, point at that one above
who thinks that "Annie" is a nickname for a baby Wolverine! That sounds like blood in the water, my friend.

That's the Austrian way of shortening it. Wasn't one of the kids in "The Sound of Music" named Liesl?

16. I had a friend in college named Anneliese...
we called her Lisie but people always misspelled it Lisi so by graduation both were acceptably-common.

17. This is a very self-serving poll
Because LisaM wants Anneliese to be called Little LisaM for obvious reasons. Others in the M family (of which I am one) disagree. So don't let what looks like an innocent poll fool you....

19. I see that "Lisa" has won by a wide margin.
I'll go report the results to the media, err, family.

Years ago when I was in high school, I took German and we had to pick a German name. Mine was Anneliese. I have a niece named Anneliese also.

21. When I took French, I took the name Marie-Claude
My friend Tim was Felix! (pronounced "Fay-Leeks") I later shortened it to Claude.

I've already called the White House on her behalf on a women's issue (I didn't give her name, though).

What this girl is gonna see! I can't even imagine what she will see in 10 years, let alone 50 or 60.

26. I am assuming she has adamantine claws.
In which case, "Wolverine" is the only credible option.
