From a book of poems about the Civil War. This one was apparently written around 1860-1861...towards the beginning.
I love that quote because it always gets me thinking.
Thought I'd share it with those of us who might like to think on it as well.

Seriously, there are some religions and philosophies that preach the middle path. They talk about not becoming too extreme and always considering the other side of things. They talk about balance. It's too late for me in that regard. I'm already an imbalanced kind of person. :)
