I just gave two weeks' notice. Ask me anything.
1. Yes, it was a huge risk, because I don't have anything else yet.

2. Yes, I feel relieved.

3. Yes, I am tempted to take the low road, but, even though I wouldn't be eligible for rehire, I will take the high road for the entire two weeks.

Any other questions?

9. It's inconvenient, but not unexpected.

But I'm sad to go, for no other reason than that I like the HR director and a few of my cow-irkers. :( I'll miss them.

3. Would you like some info on a career in trucking?
Good pay and truckers are in demand!

Seriously, I know you've had a tough time there and I'm happy that you feel relieved about moving on.

4. Happy for/with you!
I think sometimes a clean break is appropriate. Knowing we *must* forge ahead makes it easier. *I* think.

Strong move!

21. I know what it feels like
I had a great paying job over a year ago, which I hated beyond belief.

It took me several years to finally do it, but when I quit, I was so happy and relieved. I make less money now, but I actually look forward to going to work and find myself very contented with life. I sleep better too.

So good for you! And yeah, that last two weeks is a bitch.

27. In some ways yes, in others no.
There are somethings cooking but unfortunately everything seems to take too much time. ;)

It's also a holiday week. Everything slows down in early September.
