Thomcat just called
he sounded only a bit better than he did last night. He has no choice but to make the trip into the city for work. I wish he could stay home and recover. But, the good news is that all his doctors and the hospital best equipped to treat him are close to his office.

Continue to hold him close in your thoughts and prayers. He needs them.

1. I was just about ready to
log off and head for work when I saw your post.

Thanks for updating us about Thomcat. I've been so concerned about him after reading his post.

I agree, it's too bad that he has to go into work, but it is reassuring that the doctors/hospital are close by in case the need arises.

Thanks again for updating us and for your concern over Thomcat.

 <<<< for Thomcat and you too. Hope he feels better soon.

2. I hope he's okay.
I experience similar symptoms to this earlier this year..extreme lightheadedness especially when sitting up after sleeping..and I ignored it...fortunately I had a doctor headsup that it was a change in my condition which ultimately led me to go to Mayo for treatment. I'm very lucky that nothing serious happened to me because of it.
Thom needs to take care of himself....:-(

10. My platelets skyrocketed.
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 08:20 AM by turtlensue
They had been about 750 (100-400 is normal, 500-700 is where I have been for a couple of years) and went up to 1400-1600. So they doubled in the span of about 5 months. I also had headaches as well.
With Thom, I don't know, could be as simple as an inner ear infection I suppose.

12. Yeah better..
But I'm on TWO powerful meds to keep me that way..Interferon, and hydrea (a chemo drug). Sometimes the sides from one or both aren't pretty..x(

I've been worried about him ever since last night. I hope those warm and fuzzy lounge vibes did the trick.

He so rarely complains. It's something big when he does. :(
