So "Fringe" looks pretty good so far.
It's the first episode, and already we have a mysterious disease, a mad scientist, a boy genius, and an excuse for the sexy FBI agent to strip down to her undies. God bless JJ Abrams. :P

1. And it's based in Boston
which is cool however...I hope they are not overly fond of car cases or if they are not I hope they realize one a season is about the best they should hope for the Boston savvy in the audience to believe (or I should say forgive) because there is just No Way the sort of car chases they just showed can happen in Boston traffic and roads.

8. Yep. All that stuff I said, and a car chase, too!

Hey, I'm not saying it's high cerebral entertainment, but so far, Denethor the scientist has been entertaining, there have been a few interesting plot twists, and the hot chick stripped down to her skivvies. Pretty standard JJ Abrams stuff, but why mess with a winning formula?

2. I watched the pre-air a couple of months ago and thought it was fair.
I thought the female lead was pretty weak as an actress.

3. It was pretty good.
Nice little twist at the end, there. (no spoilers)

5. Meh. It had everything I don't like. Manufactured drama, erratic writing,
improbable situations (I know it is science fiction, but it has to have its own internal logic and it doesn't), a requisite car chase, a scene that rationalizes torture...

Just not crazy about it.

6. The pilot was like The X-Files meets The Cell.
I dunno how I feel about it.

7. Really? At my house...
...the power went down and didn't come back until the show was almost over, so I'll have to wait until they replay it on Sunday.

It's good to hear that people are liking it, though. It looked super interesting and Joshua Jackson is one charming bastard on screen, so I was looking forward to it.

10. I liked it...
I hope the writers and Abrams stick to their promise to have each episode be more free standing and not have everything dependent on some intricate mythology that you have to watch every week to follow. I already watch Lost and don't have patience for another show with a ridiculous back story that I have to follow every week. It's also why I lost interest in the X-Files.

11. Honestly, I was disappointed.
It was "24" meets "X-Files."

12. It sold me for further episodes with this line:
"Excellent! Let's make some LSD."

13. That line struck me as hilarious, too
I love the crazy scientist and am intrigued by Blair Brown's character.
