Nightmares last night.
and I haven't had any in a long time. I dreamed Lelapin and I went away for a few days and when I returned (she wasn't with me), my house was gone. My old house. The one my ex and I owned in Columbus. The neighborhood had been reduced to a flat field. No curbs, no streets, no signs. Everything I owned was gone. A loophole in a law allowed a developer to take it and all the other homes that had stood for over 50 years.

I'm still rattled. I need to shake this...

4. There's a lot going on in my life
most of the symbolism is obvious, but I have no idea how all this will play out. I know how I *want* it to, but...

Maybe it shouldn't pass too quickly. It gives me incentive to take care of a few things...

5. Hugs, dude...
 Like you said, there's a lot of change going on in your life right now... still sucks when your brain takes it out in scary ways, though!

6. Thanks
change seems to be in the air all over...

My change involves a huge leap of faith, even bigger than my last one. Keep me in your thoughts.

(An old friend called me a free spirit. Funny, I've never seen myself that way...)

7. I had a dream
that I was walking down the street and found a badger on the sidewalk with its two front legs cut off. So I went into a local bookstore and asked the owner what to do. He gave me a laundry basket. So I went back and put the badger and its cut off legs in the laundry basket and carried it to the animal hospital. And when I got there they told me I had cancer in my left knee and my stomach and I was going to die soon.

What the fuck?

9. I hate dreams like that....
Every now and then, I'll have one so vivid that I wake up and it takes a few minutes to convince myself that it was just a dream.

This sounds like a setup to a bad joke, but about a year ago I had a VERY real dream in which I was still married to my ex. (It was NOT a good dream). It took over an hour for me to calm down and shake it.

10. Shudder...
I've had the ex dream. Scared me bad...

Mine was definitely a reminder of what was lost, what I could lose and how little control I have over life. x(

11. Perhaps all the storm damage in Ohio last week "seeded" that dream
Glad it was just a dream!
