I'm pissed off.
Maybe pissed off isn't the right word.

I'm just feeling like I can't take things anymore.

My anxiety has gotten really bad lately, to the point where I feel nervous most of the time, especially at school.

And all people keep telling me to do is go to counselling.

I've been in counselling for years! If it was going to do anything, it would have done something by now! And, even worse, every counsellor I see seems to blame all my problems on being queer. They're, like, overly fascinated with my sexual orientation.

Even worse, I found out my mom registered my younger brother in this special anxiety therapy program...and not me!

My brother doesn't even have an anxiety disorder! He's a bit of a nervous kid, but doesn't have any actual problems stemming from it! It's just that he makes so much fuss about absolutely everything! I, on the other hand, am a pretty reserced person in real life...so maybe people think they have a license to ignore me because I'm not "HEY, LOOK AT ME, I HAVE PROBLEMS" every three seconds? (At least not in real life, haha). I just feel like people keep dismissing me and I'm scared of reaching a breaking point, but I don't know what to do.

4. That reminds me... I should probably update my livejournal.
People are starting to think I've disappeared from the world. :P

3. Of course they blame your problems on you being queer.
Learning about Freud's theories gave them the perfect excuse to take out their creepy-as-hell obsessions with people's sexuality on others... and get paid for it, too! Don't you just love the mental health system?

Must... not... make... joke... about... how many Freudians it takes to change a lightbulb...

5. Two.
One to change the bulb and the other to hold the penis.

LADDER! I meant ladder!

7. You definitely sound bottled up
I'm a bit introverted and I have a pretty calm demeanor in front of people, yes I have anxiety but I don't need to broadcast it out to people so sometimes it just erupts after awhile. It sucks. Make sure you're getting enough exercise, walk daily if you can. I find it's helping me get rid of nervous energy. I can't sit still most of the time. And I refuse to take medication for it, which may not be the smartest decision but I don't want to be on pharmies and spend the rest of my life treating the symptoms rather than the cause, you know? At least you know some people here can relate to how you're feeling, we won't dismiss you!
