I get together with two conservative friends from college at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch sports and play trivia.
3 weeks ago, these guys had hope. One is a fervent Palin fan, the other...thought that it would be the Republicans with turnout would win the election over the youth vote.
I told the second friend that if you frame it that way, of course you might believe that McCain will win. But that's not what this election is about.
Yesterday, these same mouthy friends were silent. I didn't need to bring it up because through emails and IMs, I know they think it is over. So yesterday was a pleasant day with friends.
It's not 1988. The crash of the markets have already ceded the election to Obama.
The hardening of opinions on who to vote for has already started, and America will elect Barack Obama!
