I'm thankful for insurance such as it is. I cannot imagine what it's like for those people who have none.

I'll find out soon if the treatments worked. I got Iron infusions because I have Iron Deficient Anemia. I'm not sure they helped but we'll see. I was given 5 infusions. My ferritin level was at 3 which is very low ...anyway, not to bore you :)

I WON'T sleep tonight. And I have to bring my mom to the hospital for a test first thing in the morning.

It's been a hell of a day. Someone close to me just walked away with no warning, and I've lost a disgusting amount in the stock market over the past few days.

My normal pain killer is not working...my arms hurt so bad I want to chew them off. So i went back to the Vicodan, and now I'm in a sleepless haze.

So the pain will be back in the morning, and I'll be steering my truck with my teeth on the way to the hospital. :rofl:

and doing some emailing. Nothing major. Gotta stay up until 7 then get ready and go get the brakes on the car replaced. The car has been squealing for a while now when I try to stop. I tried telling it to suck it up and take it if it is going to be my car. I have shit for luck and not much in savings. If it's gonna be my car, it needs to learn to always be poor, slow, and have shit for luck. It didn't listen. It never does. Pfft! Teenagers! You know how they are.

Then when we went to Fayetteville and almost got in a wreck. Some driver, who got their license at Sears & Roebuck, pulled out from the left hand side of the road, went across 6 lanes of traffic and damn near pulled out in front of me. The brakes worked, but not quite fast enough for my liking. Plus all that squealing the car did, really caused people to stop and stare. How embarrassing to have such a wimp for a car.

I didn't see my life flash before my eyes, but my aunt swore she did. I decided it's time to fix the damn car. Whiny ass car...always wanting something. I buy it new windshield wipers last month and this month it wants new shoes. What's it gonna ask for next? A car of its own and a credit card so it can go shopping?

79. There is a place that has done work on this car before.

I tend to go there. They don't seem to overcharge at all for labor and they buy the car parts from Advance Auto Parts, which is where I would go anyhow. If it was just that the brake pads needed to be replaced, I'd probably get someone else to do it, but it's been squealing a while. That means the drums probably need to be turned. They say it is going to cost me $90 to do the front brakes and if the car has back brakes, another $90. I know my luck, so I'm going to be out $180 this morning.

Not only that, but the fuel filter needs to be replaced. The car sounds like it's sputtering. The gas treatment has been kept up like every 3rd tank for years. I do that to keep the fuel injectors clean. So, I'm pretty sure it needs a new fuel filter. That's another $40, they say.

And because I rarely ever open the passenger side door, I didn't know this, but the weather stripping stuff that goes in between the door and the car body has come loose. When we went to Fayetteville, I opened that door for the first time in ages. It fell part of the way down. It's been hanging there since we went last week. I could ignore it, if it didn't show in the corner of my eye while I'm driving. It keeps distracting me, so I'm going to ask for glue that will hold.

I can't remember what I did for the driver's side when it did that last summer. My step dad suggested epoxy when that happened. Well, it turns out epoxy, rubber, and extreme heat don't mix too well.

Either we didn't hold our tongues right when we put the glue on or my luck kicked in full force, because when we used the epoxy, I just ended up with a sticky mess of rubber weatherstripping falling down on me every time I opened the door. I ended up having to manually put that sticky ass mess back up every single time I used the car. It was like being attacked by the sticky, gummy blob from hell every time I opened the door until I did something that worked.

Thing is, I can't remember what I did that finally worked. I learned last summer that rubberized sticky gummy epoxy is hard to get out of your hair no matter how many times you wash it. It's hard to get off a cotton shirt too, but much less traumatizing.

You know that movie, Bruce Almighty? There should be a Jama Almighty movie. I want Murphy's Law on my headstone, although with my luck, these local yocal idiots will spell it wrong. I got shit for luck. It's normal though.
