My sister would have been 37 today.

I am officially older than she ever was. Normally her birthday doesn't make me this emotional. I think it is because I am now older than she ever was. Today was just really hard.

My birthday hit me super hard this year when I realized that I will always be older than my husband got to be. We were the same age (38 days apart, and he made a big deal out of me being older). And it sucks that I don't want to be any older than him than that. But I don't have a choice. :hug: You are a wonderful person and a terrific sister.

She has been gone for almost eight years. We discovered a new Mexican restaurant a few months back, and I had the urge to call her. I wonder what would have become of TJ, the boy she was eight months pregnant with when she died. He already knew my voice, and would kick on cue when he was a wake. Apparently when I giggled, he used to do flip flops.
