He's in the hospital for depression. I'm worried. Don't know whether I should head up there or just stay here and pray.

A good friend of mine suffered depression last year, after a series of disruptive changes and stresses in his life. He pulled through it with the help of his family, who all came to be with him (he is in Seattle, they are in Michigan and Massachusetts) at various times. So if your instinct tells you to go, go.

11. Thanks for all the vibes everyone! I spoke with my brother this evening.

He says he's getting some pretty intensive therapy, and doesn't have much visiting time. Said he'd like a phone call in the evenings, but with this therapy we wouldn't get much more time to visit than that, even if I were to go to MN. So, I'm gonna stay here, call him every day and go over if he changes his mind and asks me to.

He still sounds like he could use the vibes, tho. The last couple of years have been hard on him. I'm glad he's getting help.

And, yeah, it's been an eventful month. I kind of thought something was going on with my brother when he didn't come home for my dad's health problem. But I was focused on my dad, who knew my brother wasn't doing well, as it turns out.

Everyone seems to be getting the help they need, happily.

He will appreciate it. I've been in for depression, and you feel really isolated, so he should enjoy seeing you, even if it may not appear that he does.
