Poll question: It's sad when formerly cool people become wankers
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 03:03 AM by XemaSab
So if your formerly cool friend who you haven't talked to in years wrote this on his website, how big of a wanker is he?

We're developing an innovative person-to-person marketplace for goods and services. The goal is to provide an online community that's safe, spam-free, relevant, and leverages social media and all those "Web 2.0" goodies to which you've become accustomed.

We want to make it easier and more enjoyable to get rid of those vinyl LPs in your garage, to find someone to help with a household project, to sell your hand-made crafts, or to locate an amazing bargain on used furniture just up the street from your new apartment.

We're pretty sure we have a unique take on the problems facing users of existing services like craigslist and Ebay, and have years of experience bringing consumer internet startups to life and scaling them to tens of millions of users and hundreds of millions of pageviews each day.

In short, stay tuned!

1. oh yes how innovative!
When I got laid off I sold most of my vinyl lps I kept in my garage on my own when I lost my job and the thousands of dollars I got helped me get to where I am now I very bitter but still happy person...(until I finally become homeless) I still have my Wipers albums...sold a Nirvana/Melvins 45 for 160 dollars...what I find funny is nobody you want to do business with nowadays wants to be friends

2. He's not THAT big of a wanker.
He's just talking wankerspeak to wankers to get them to spend money. He's being a salesman. And yes, salesmen are wankers. So...um...what was my point again?
