Our latest rescue...and we named him Obama!

Full name: Kye (Finnish for Rejoice) Obama.



This is a wonderful dog that we saved from certain death at the shelter. He is playful, friendly and smart. We will find him a new forever home that will love and care for him.

When Barack Obama moves into the White house in January, they plan on adopting a dog from a shelter instead of buying one. We thought that we should name one of our rescues in his honor.

8. Oh, he looks so much like our Tanya that we adopted from the animal shelter

over 13 years ago. She went over the Rainbow Bridge this past summer. Sigh.

9. He looks like he'd make a great family pet

His smile is so big, it includes his eyes, ears and tail.
I can just see him playing ball with a 10 year old kid and then sleeping in the bed with the kid at night.

I hope we can find a family with a couple of kids to play with. Right now he is playing with all his other doggie friends and seems to enjoy that too.
