2. Were you there? What was the final zombie count in Asheville?
Just got back from Pittsburgh's Zombie Fest 2008--what a blast!

Of course, whatever the count, Asheville gets cool-points for being named after an Evil Dead character...

3. while I am sure the paper will downplay it
I would say there were about 1k or so... they filled the streets for several blocks

and of course in a master stroke of advance planning... it was the same night Sarah Palin was speaking at the Civic Center

6. Great pics!
I was with the Palin protesters, we kept watching for the zombies...like Waiting for Godot.

I saw the tail end of them as I walked home from the Civic Center.

Those were some really good zombie pics.

8. Yeah, I couldn't even walk across the bridge to get back home,
I had to back around to the bridge by the skate park.

9. I've never heard of
a zombie walk. You certainly have some creative people in Asheville. Looks like a lot of fun. Loved the zombie pushing the stroller!
