8. The opening scene was cool

Hitch wanted it to be a continuous but was forced to resort to a series of scenes each dissolving into each the next. Hitch would have appreciated the 1998 version, if only for its technical merits.

But aside from the opening, the new version offers nothing.

10. On the up side, I just saw the original AFTER the shit one

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. I love the end when Bates comes in with the knife and you just here a voice in the score yell "NORMAN BATES". Kinda spooky. In the new one, when Vince Vaughn comes in wearing a wig, it's so silly looking I just laugh.
