often I find a big spoonful of peanut butter will cure the hiccups, but I'm not home and I don't know where to get a big spoonful of PB dammit!

3. the sugar and water cure
get a big spoon of sugar and a glass of water put the sugar in your mouth and drink water till the sugar is all dissolved, then hold your breath for 10 seconds works every time.

4. Slow your breathing and calm your thoughts.
Even holding your breath at the top of the breath in helps. The spasms have to be calmed. If nothing else, you'll feel less anxious ;)
