I've been fostering this cat for five years
(Well, it was originally suppose to be a foster case, but he is mine now) Anyway, I learned something about this cat that I have never noticed before. If I talk "sugar" to him he starts kneading the carpet and will start purring. All without petting him. Isn't that cute?

3. This cat is half bobcat
There were several people who woke up to the sounds of cats mating and saw his mother being mounted by a bobcat that came in through the screenless kitchen window. When he was born, he was all paws with this big huge head. His meow is more of a growl and you can really see his bobcatness in his tail. It's not unheard of. He weights 37 pounds, (he is obese)I got him that way. I tried to put him on a diet and tried to get him to play with toys be he resists both and it just makes him miserable. He is 17 years old and I want him to be happy. So I let him eat and don't hassle him with the toys. If he keels over one day of a heart attack, I will be sad, but at least I will know he was happy for most of his life.

I know there are people who will call me "cruel" for letting this happen, but I gave this kitty a chance rather than going to a shelter. (where he would have no chance) He is happy, I am happy.

28. my cat died of a heart attack. It ain't pretty to watch.
He literally bounced on his ass down the hall way, threw a blood clot that got stuck in his back and paralyzed him. I knew exactly what it was when it happened because I had seen one of my mother's cats go this way. He died the day after our dog was put down. Dog died Sept 1 2007, cat died sept 2 2007.

This cat suffocates if you try and pick him up. So I never pick him up unless we are going to the vet.

7. What a unique and sweet kitty
17 is a ripe old age for a cat, my cat Felix made it to that age. And I thought he was a fur football! Lovely color Morrison has too...

8. You done good
I had a few meatloaf's like him in my life. Roscoe, who was 25+ lbs. lived to be 18.5. They know you love them, and by giving him a good home and love his life has meaning, as does yours.

You done real good.

How can you foster a kitty and not want to keep her after awhile? Morrison is my first and only foster kitty I ever had.

13. that's fantastic
I'm thinking of fostering a cat, but I think I'd get too attached, and I can't afford to. I probably have to move out of the country in a year and half when my visa expires, unless I can get a job here. In that time, I think I would have fallen madly in love with a kitty and couldn't give it up.

If I was in your shoes, I would just enjoy my friends' kitties as much as possible when I visited.

35. not really
I mean, some friends do, but none who live close that I visit very often. Mostly I'd like the company of a cat. I'd love to have a dog too, but I'm out of the house for long stretches at a time, so that's completely out. Smaller pets just don't really do it for me... I do have a mouse that lives in the house, but I'm trying to evict him.

15. Mine's a big fucker during winter
But it's his yearly winter layer of fat combined with a lot of muscle.

During spring he sleeks down to pure athlete weight. I'm jealous.

I never thought I would see the day. Morrison doesn't look like a blimp, he looks more like a beach ball with legs.

Thanks for the pic!

My camera is down at the shop. The only bobcat features on Morrison is his HUGE head. His meow(growl). His HUGE paws. And his tail. Other than that, he looks like a regular cat.

38. Oh, I am doing pretty good
That pasta you sent really came in handy these last few days of the month. I bought some spaghetti sauce at the discount grocery (save-a-lot) and have been getting by on that. Good thing I like spaghetti!! The food bank gave me a turkey for thanksgiving but of course I already prepared it and have been picking at it here and there.

I am really looking forward to going to my Aunt's for Thanksgiving. She is not only preparing a turkey, she is cooking a ham! I can't wait!
