I go out with the girls ONCE in 2 months, and my dog got pissed and totally trashed the living room.
I got home and found the pillows and blankets from my crashing on the couch last night were all torn apart and trashed all over the room. Even the waste baskets - torn apart and the plastic liners and trash strewn in pieces everywhere. What a little rotten shit!

He KNEW he was in deep shit when I came home and found this. One look at my face and he scampered off to hide under my bed. I told him to come back so I could dust his butt or nose. But he is deaf, and he'd never believe me anyway.

It's a damned good thing I love the little shit. x(

2. I guess he got spoiled when I quit going out every Sunday night.
It's been a couple months, and gawd knows my mother is still here to spoil him while I'm gone.

But noooooooo, he was pissed that I'd left for the night, and totally trashed the place to "get even with me".

I don't know if he ever feels guilt, but he sure always KNOWS when he's been naughty.

The daily beatings will begin tomorrow.

3. dogs are like bad boyfriends. they act like absolute idiots in the moment...
then after the fact, they know they screwed up. they do feel guilt. and they hide under the bed.

all i have to do is look at one of my dogs when they have been bad. they put their head down. avert my eyes... they tuck their tails between their legs. they wimper.

dogs know...

7. cats on the other hand remember not a thing about what they did
but if you go away for two days, they'll turn their back to you for two more when you get home.

4. We just got back from shopping, and the dog tore everything
out of the kitchen trash and threw it all over the place. It's too cold for him to wait in the car while we shop, and he takes his revenge at being left home with the cat. i guess he's looking for the really good smelling stuff in there, too.

But hey, he's a dog....

5. I guess my dog decided to behave tonight. He thinks I stayed home tonight because he punished me
last night. Crap, he even got the cats to punish me too.

Fuck that! I demand respect! The daily beatings will continue until morale improves around here!

9. my dogs can't be trusted
ergo, they spend their time in a crate when I am not home.

Heck, even if I am in the other room Zeus (9 mos) will destroy something.
