Americans that are almost Canadians
For me, anyone from WA, OR, WI, MN and MI could easily adjust to Canadian Culture

9. Georges and Cecile Bechard of Maine (and Quebec)
http://www.humanities-interactive.org/canadianborder/ex009_35.html

The home of M. Georges and Mme. Cécile Béchard is built on the Québec-Maine line. There are five other family homes in the immediate Estcourt area, all built entirely in the state of Maine. Along with the Béchards, these families constitute the community of Estcourt Station. The only road that connects them with any other part of the state of Maine is a logging road

16. Native South Floridians, I've discovered.
Emphasis on NATIVE. I'm a third generation south Floridian, and people always think I'm from Canada.

19. I was in BC talking to some students who asked me where it was cool to live in the USA
I told them WA, OR and Northern California. And they said, they knew *that*..."that's not like the US, it's practically Canada.".

So I suggested Austin, TX, Chicago, Boulder, etc.

20. Ha. I've lived inCanada for 23 years and stil haven't adjusted.
On the surface it seems lke it is like the US, but it's not at all. Just step south of the Canadian border onto US soil and it is soooooooo different. I will never get used to living in this place.

But I'm going to stay here in Michigan and guard our water so I can say "Sorry, you made your own mess; it's not our problem" when drought-stricken states come asking for help. :hi:
