List the songs that really put you in the mood for love...
I heard one on the way home from work that inspired this thread.

1. I think "La Vie En Rose" by Edith Pilaf is the most romantic
song there is. Also, Marvin Gaye singing anything would be a fine answer.

4. Just You and Me
by Chicago was "our song" back in the early 70's. My wonderful wife and I have been married 30 years this April. Chicago can put us in bed with just a few notes from the song. Not much has changed except now I'm a cubic zirconia cutter instead of a diamond cutter. The love is still made.

She was Vibrating

Brenda's Iron Sledge

If you were a priest ( i'm kidding now)

There's a House Burning Down On the Radio

There are plenty more, too, but I can't think of anymore names offhand

All those songs about snails and water and I should probably stop now.

Also lately lots of really fast punk... must remind me of my college years.

35. yeah a strange agent and I mean that as a compliment
I love offbeat music and have been a Robyn fan for many years. I have many of his albums and the weirder they are, the better I like them. Although when we saw him once, it was weird, because so many frat boys were chanting "Robyn, Robyn" like they were at a football game. Robyn looked really cranky, but the drummer and bass player were amazing.

Ted Woody and Junior....

51. Marvin Gaye: "Let's Get it On," and "Sexual Healing," ...and
Aaron Neville, "Tell it Like it Is;" Bill Withers, "Ain't No Sunshine;" Carlos Santana & Rob Thomas, "Smooth;" Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, "Along Came Love;" and last but not least anything by Nirvana and Pearl Jam - not because they're necessarily sensuous (though some selections certainly strike me that way) but primarily because they remind me of what the Boss might call 'glory days.'

73. DO ME BABY~PRINCE

Here we are in this big old empty room, staring each other down
U want me just as much as I want U, let's stop fooling around
Take me baby... kiss me all over... play with my love
Bring out what's been in me for far too long
Baby, u know that's all I've been dreaming of
Do Me Baby, like u never done before
Give it to me till I just can't take no more
Do Me Baby, like u never done before
I want u now, I just can't wait no more, can't wait...

Here we are looking for a reason for u to lay me down
For a love like ours is never out of season, so baby please stop teasing me
what ya do, I can never love no other, u're the best I ever had
Whenever we're not close to one another, I just want u so bad

So Do Me Baby, like u never done before
Give it to me till I just can't take no more
C'mon, Do Me Baby, like u never done before
I want u now, I just can't wait no more

I said ooo...ooo...oooo...ooooooo
Do Me Baby, Do Me Baby, give it to me
Do Me Baby, I want u now
Do Me Baby, give it to me
Do Me Baby, Do Me baby, don't wanna do it all alone
I want your love.
Do Me Baby, give it to me
Do Me Baby, This feeling is too strong, make me wait 2 long, I want u now

You're leaving me no choice
OK, what are u gonna do...u just gonna sit there and watch? alright...
are u sure u don't wanna close your eyes?
...well, isn't it supposed to take a long time?
I'm not gonna stop till the war is over...
Help me! there...ok...ok
I'm so cold....just hold me

Give me
Your dirty love
Like you might surrender

Just whip me up some dragon lotion
For your dirty love

Give me
Your dirty love
Like some tacky little pamphlet
In your daddy's bottom drawer

Give me
Your dirty love
I don't believe you have ever seen
That book before

I don't need no consolation
I don't want your reservation
I only got one destination
An' that's your dirty love

Give me
Your dirty love
Just like your mama
Make her fuzzy poodle do

Give me
Your dirty love
The way your mama
Make that nasty poodle chew

I'll ignore your cheap aroma
And your little-bo-peep diploma
I'll just put you in a coma
With some dirty love

THE POODLE BITES!
(Come on, Frenchie)
THE POODLE CHEWS IT!
(Snap it!)
THE POODLE BITES!
(Come on, Frenchie)
THE POODLE CHEWS IT!
(Snap it!)

78. Journey - 'Faithfully'
Damn Yankees 'High Enough'
Firehouse 'Love of a Lifetime'

And many other songs from that time period. Reminds me of a time when I chased after any girl I saw.
