damn gas company did line maintainence on the 14th in our neighborhood
and I have no heat or hot water. I called a HVAC guy I know and he asked me if the gas co had turned my gas back on...so I called the number they gave me and got an answering svc then called ATMOS customer service and held on for EVER, finally the other guy called me back..they had given him the wrong house number for the free relight service ...someone will be here within the hour to turn the gas back on and relight my furnace and water heater.

BTW it got down to 25 here last night. My house is about 50 degrees right now.

2. I was fine as long as I was still in bed, with a tempurpedic mattress pad , 3 cats
and several blankets I was fine. I like to sleep in a cold house anyway. It was NO HOT WATER that was bad.

The gas company just sent a guy out here and he turned the gas back on and reset the furnace, so the house is warming up nicely. He could not get the water heater to work so I have to have a technician out to work on it.

3. I'm glad you have it worked out.
Good thing you're in Texas. It was well below zero in many places.

4. After a gas hiccup a few years back I got a wood stove and a corn stove
I hate being dependent on one service. If I had the money now (thank you GWB) I would look into some back up electrical service.
