He actually died about two and a half years ago. He was 13.

I didn't know him well, in fact, I hardly knew him at all - I don't need sympathy. We maybe had a conversation, perhaps, once or twice? I'm not even entirely sure where I knew him from. It was either Hebrew school or summer camp, an awfully long time ago.

I found out today, as I was sifting through a friend's facebook groups. There was one called "We'll miss you, Evan E.", and I clicked on it, as the picture looked awfully familiar. And then I was sure that I, at least vaguely, knew him at one point. Nice kid, from what I remember.

It just kind of spooked me. How you can be around someone, never really knowing them, but they're just like anyone else, and a few years later, they die without you even knowing.

R.I.P Evan.
