Cartoon Anakin Skywalker from Clone Wars is way cooler than movie Anakin

the Anakin in the movies is a whiny punk. The Cartoon Network episodes make him out to be pretty cool.

Anybody else watching the Clone Wars cartoons, or watch the older version that came out a few years back?

I think there were a lot of good ideas in Episodes 1-3, they just didn't follow through on them with good writing, acting & directing. Well, maybe not Episode 1 with JarJar and Jake Lloyd...

But the showdown with Anakin and Obi-Wan was terrific until the very end when Anakin fell into the lava shrieking, "I hate you!" (and then later waking up yelling, "NOOOOOO!!" upon finding out Padme was dead...) And, I thought Ewan McGregor was really good as young Obi-Wan in all 3 movies.

3. Actually I was referring to the 3d animated Clone Wars movie that came out recently.

They tried to capture the feel of the cartoon and make a full length 3d animated movie out of it. Didn't work so well. :P

The voice acting was better because they had a higher budget, and there were some nifty action scenes... but that's about it.

But, I would like to see some hints of darkness in CW Anakin. I would have loved for him to almost kill Takei's character last night.

And, I would like the writers to pay far more attention to the comics, games, and novels than they have...
